1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Discount Offers (“the Site”, “we”, “us”, “our”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Discount Offers is operated by Discount Offers Pty Limited, an Australian company registered in Australia:

These Terms govern your use of the Site as a visitor or registered user. If you are an Australian retailer with a merchant account or a paid service, your commercial relationship with us is governed by the Merchant Terms at discountoffers.com.au/merchant-terms, which prevail over these Terms on merchant submissions and merchant services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

2. Description of Service

Discount Offers is an Australian deal intelligence platform providing:

    • Verified deal listings sourced from Australian retailers
    • Deal Truth Scores — a proprietary rating system (1–10) based on historical Australian price data
    • Price comparison information across Australian retailers
    • Coupon codes — discount codes and redemption mechanisms, which we test before publishing
    • Store promotions — store-wide or category offers from retailers
    • Store pages and catalogues — retailer pages showing that retailer’s current deals, promotions and coupons
    • A weekly deals newsletter delivered every Thursday
    • Price drop alert notifications for registered users
    • Paid placement services for Australian retailers
    • A wishlist and saved deals feature for registered users

    Our service is free to Australian consumers. We earn revenue through affiliate commissions and paid merchant placements.

3. Deal Truth Score — Scope and Limitations

Our Deal Truth Score is calculated from historical price data we collect and verify. You acknowledge that:

  • Historical price data is not guaranteed to be complete or error-free
  • A high Deal Truth Score is not a guarantee of the lowest price available anywhere in Australia
  • Future prices may not align with historical trends
  • Price data sourced from third parties may contain inaccuracies

Important: Deal Truth Scores are based on available pricing information and historical pricing data. Discount Offers independently analyses publicly available pricing data to generate these scores. While reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy, scores are estimates only, may change over time, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any purchasing decision. Deal Truth Scores do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, product advice or purchasing advice. The Deal Truth Score is an informational guide only.

We accept no liability for purchasing decisions made in reliance on Deal Truth Scores.

3.1 What does not carry a Deal Truth Score

Coupon codes and store promotions carry no Deal Truth Score and no historical-verification claim. A Deal Truth Score is calculated from the price history of a specific product. A discount code has no single price to measure — we cannot see what price a code produces until it is applied at a retailer’s checkout — and a store-wide promotion covers many products at once. Coupons and promotions are shown in separately identified areas and are labelled so you can tell what has and has not been assessed.

4. Affiliate Relationship Disclosure

We participate in affiliate marketing programs. When you click a deal link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you. Some links may be affiliate links and may generate commission for Discount Offers.

Our affiliate relationships do not influence our Deal Truth Score ratings. See our Affiliate & Sponsored Content Disclosure for full details, including the badge shown on every deal, coupon and promotion identifying whether we earn nothing, earn an affiliate commission, or were paid for the placement.

5. Accuracy of Deal, Coupon and Promotion Information

We make every reasonable effort to ensure deal information is accurate at the time of publication. However:

  • Prices and availability are subject to change without notice by the retailer
  • We cannot guarantee any offer is still available when you click the link
  • Discrepancies may exist between prices shown on our site and prices at checkout
  • Deals, coupons and promotions may expire or be withdrawn by retailers at any time
  • We are not responsible for errors in retailer pricing systems

5.1 Coupon codes specifically

Before we publish a coupon code we test it, and we may re-test it while it is live. Where a test succeeds we publish the date it worked and the conditions we tested under.

A successful test relates only to the conditions actually tested. It is not a guarantee that a code will work for every shopper, basket, product, payment method, account or location. Codes can be withdrawn, exhausted, restricted or changed by the retailer at any time, including after our most recent test. Where we find that a code has stopped working, we remove it.

If a code does not work for you, the retailer’s own terms govern the transaction. We would be grateful if you told us at hello@discountoffers.com.au so that we can re-test and remove it if necessary

We recommend verifying the final price at the retailer’s website before completing any purchase.

6. Merchant Services

Paid services for Australian retailers — plans, placements, coupon packages and promotions — are governed by the Merchant Terms at discountoffers.com.au/merchant-terms, together with the Order Confirmation issued for each purchase.

The Merchant Terms set out pricing and GST treatment, billing and renewal, cancellation, refunds, placement delivery and interruptions, and the merchant’s obligations. Where these Terms of Service and the Merchant Terms differ on any merchant matter, the Merchant Terms apply.

Merchant fees are stated in Australian dollars with GST treatment disclosed before purchase, and payment is processed by Stripe.

7. User Accounts

When you create an account:

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised account access at hello@discountoffers.com.au
  • You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their express permission
  • You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable

8. User Generated Content

Registered users may submit content including deal tips, images, and descriptions. By submitting content, you:

  • Warrant that you own it or have the right to submit it
  • Warrant that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and not misleading under Australian Consumer Law section 18
  • Warrant that it does not infringe any third party intellectual property rights
  • Grant Discount Offers a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display it on our platform
  • Acknowledge that we may edit, moderate, or remove content at our discretion without notice

Where content is submitted by or on behalf of a retailer, the content licence, warranties and obligations in the Merchant Terms apply to that submission instead of this clause.

We decide whether to publish any submission and apply our own checks before doing so. We are responsible for what we choose to publish.

9. Editorial and Scoring Independence

Discount Offers determines Deal Truth Scores in its sole discretion using its proprietary methodology. Merchants may not instruct us to alter, suppress, or remove a Deal Truth Score, and may not require the modification or removal of a score as a condition of any commercial relationship with Discount Offers. A merchant’s paid placement status has no bearing on their Deal Truth Score, on organic ranking, or on eligibility for an editorial badge.

Retailers submitting offers to us must ensure they are genuine and accurately priced. Inflated “was” prices designed to create misleading discount percentages are prohibited under ACL section 18 (misleading conduct) and section 29 (false representations), and the ACCC’s position is that a “was” price must have been a genuine price at which the product was offered for a reasonable period before the promotion. The full obligations that apply to retailers are set out in the Merchant Terms.

10. Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information about a deal, coupon or promotion
  • Use the site for any purpose prohibited by Australian law
  • Attempt to manipulate Deal Truth Score calculations
  • Scrape or systematically copy our price history data without written permission
  • Attempt to access system areas you are not authorised to access
  • Use automated tools to bulk-submit deals or create accounts
  • Impersonate any person or organisation
  • Submit content that infringes any intellectual property rights
  • Engage in conduct that is threatening, harassing, or abusive towards our team

11. Intellectual Property

All content on Discount Offers — including the Deal Truth Score name, branding, site design, written content, and price history database — is the intellectual property of Discount Offers or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark law.

The Deal Truth Score methodology, algorithms, calculations, and scoring framework are proprietary intellectual property of Discount Offers. No licence to use, reproduce, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit these systems is granted by your use of this Site.

Deal Truth Score™, DTS™, Discount Offers™ and associated branding are proprietary marks of Discount Offers whether registered or unregistered. Unauthorised use of these marks is prohibited.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission. This includes reproducing a Deal Truth Score, badge or rating in your own website, app, emails, social media or other marketing material. Third party trademarks referenced on this site belong to their respective owners.

12. Third Party Websites

Our site contains links to third party retailer websites. We are not responsible for:

  • The content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices of third party websites
  • Any transactions you complete on third party websites
  • Any disputes between you and a retailer
  • Losses arising from your use of or reliance on third party websites

When you leave Discount Offers and visit a retailer’s website, that retailer’s own privacy policy and terms and conditions apply. We encourage you to review the retailer’s policies before making a purchase or providing personal information. Your use of third party websites is solely governed by their own terms and conditions.

You remain the customer of the retailer. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer, and we do not sell the products or services listed on our site.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Discount Offers shall not be liable for:

  • Purchasing decisions based on Deal Truth Scores
  • Price discrepancies between our site and retailer websites
  • A coupon code that does not work at a retailer’s checkout
  • Loss of savings if a deal expires before you access it
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage
  • Technical errors, downtime, or data inaccuracies

Where our liability to a consumer cannot be excluded under law, our total liability under these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months or (b) AUD $100.

This cap applies to use of the Site under these Terms. Liability arising from a merchant’s paid services is capped as set out in clauses 10.3 and 10.4 of the Merchant Terms, not by this clause.

14. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot be excluded by law.

The services we provide to consumers come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL, including that services will be provided with due care and skill.

15. Spam Act Compliance

By subscribing to our newsletter or enabling price alerts, you consent to receive commercial electronic messages from us in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing hello@discountoffers.com.au. Unsubscribe requests are processed within 2 business days.

16. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute, please contact us first at hello@discountoffers.com.au (subject: “Dispute”) and allow 14 days for resolution before escalating.

For unresolved consumer disputes:

Disputes about merchant services follow clause 12.2 of the Merchant Terms.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email with at least 14 days notice before changes take effect.

Changes affecting a merchant’s paid services require at least 30 days’ notice under clause 8.1 of the Merchant Terms, and that longer period applies to those changes.

18. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@discountoffers.com.au. Termination of a merchant’s paid services follows clause 11 of the Merchant Terms.

19. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure, constitute the entire agreement between you and Discount Offers in relation to your use of the Site. For merchants, the entire agreement in relation to paid services is the Merchant Terms together with each Order Confirmation, as set out in clause 1.4 of those terms.
