What is the Deal Truth Score and how is it calculated?
The Deal Truth Score is an independent rating from 1 to 10 based on 12 months of verified Australian price history for your product. A score of 10 means the deal is at or near the lowest price seen in the past year. A score of 1–2 means the price is near a 12-month high — poor value. We use publicly available price data and do not accept payment to influence scores. Deals scoring 6 or above are approved for publication.
What do I actually get on the 30-Day Trial?
Your trial gives you the full Featured experience for 30 days — your deals appear on the homepage with a Featured badge, exactly as they would on a paid Featured plan. We designed the trial this way deliberately: we want you to see the traffic and visibility that Featured delivers before you commit to anything. At the end of 30 days you receive a performance report showing your clicks, views, and Deal Truth Scores — so you have real data to make the decision with.
My deal scored below 6 — what happens?
Deals scoring 6 or above are published without any further action needed from you. A score of 5 is borderline — your deal can still go on the site, but we'll be in touch to discuss it first. Deals scoring 4 or below are not published; you'll receive the score and a brief explanation. The most common reason for a low score is that the deal price is at or above the 12-month average for that product. If you can improve the deal — a deeper discount, a genuine price reduction — resubmit and we'll re-verify with a fresh score.
What is a "guaranteed listing" on Essential and above?
During your free trial, deals are published in queue order once verified — typically within 2 business days. On Essential, Featured, and Brand Partner paid plans, your deal is guaranteed to go live as soon as verification is complete — no queue, no wait. Featured and Brand Partner also guarantee your deal appears on the homepage with the Featured badge.
How quickly will my deal go live after submission?
Trial submissions are verified and published within 2 business days. Essential plans are published within 24 hours of verification completion. Featured and Brand Partner submissions are given priority and typically go live within 24 hours of submission — often the same business day.
Why is newsletter inclusion only on paid plans?
Our weekly newsletter goes to Australian deal-seekers who actively opted in to receive verified deals. Including only paid merchants keeps the quality and relevance high — which drives better open rates and click-through rates for everyone included. Trial merchants don't receive newsletter inclusion, which is one of the key reasons merchants move to a paid plan after their trial.
Is there a contract or lock-in period for paid plans?
No. Essential, Featured, and Brand Partner plans are all month-to-month with no lock-in. Enquire at merchants@discountoffers.com.au for current pricing. You can cancel at any time by emailing support@discountoffers.com.au before your next billing date. There are no cancellation fees.
What happens when my deal expires?
Expired deals are automatically removed from the active listings. You can submit a new deal at any time within your monthly deal limit. Paid plans retain their placement tier for any active deal during the subscription period.
