It started with a TV. Marked 50% off for Black Friday — a deal that seemed too good to miss. Two weeks later the same TV was cheaper at the same retailer. The sale price was never real.
That experience is not unusual. Australian shoppers regularly encounter pricing that makes it genuinely difficult to tell whether a discount represents real value. We asked a simple question: why is there no platform that just tells you the truth about whether a deal is actually good? Building verified price history at scale is genuinely hard work. So we decided to do exactly that.

The Deal Truth Score — How It Works
Every deal on Discount Offers receives a Deal Truth Score from 1 to 10. The score is anchored to the 12-month average — a score of 5 means the price is at its historical average. Below the average price scores higher; above it scores lower. If the same product is available at multiple Australian retailers, we also check whether this is the cheapest place to buy it — and that influences the score.
We track hundreds of products daily and our database grows every day — which means every score becomes more accurate over time. If we have not scored a deal yet, we say so. We never pretend to have data we do not have.
